Who Are the Clients I Work With?

Are you a parent looking for a mental health provider who truly understands the challenges of raising a teen or an adult/teen with an ID/DD diagnosis? Are you a person diagnosed with an ID/DD and struggling to be heard? Do you or your teen struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, or issues of identity? Are you a teen with an incarcerated parent(s) and you are being raised by someone other than your biological parent in need of mental health support? Look no further, I’m here for you!

I’m Tamesha (she/her), a Licensed Professional Counselor. My passion lies in providing support for teen issues, women’s issues, and clients with an ID/DD diagnosis, and I am dedicated to journeying alongside those who navigate these identities and concerns. I am committed to creating a brave and welcoming space where you can learn and work towards being the best version of yourself.

As a mental health provider, I specialize in working with teens, women, and persons diagnosed with an ID/DD, clients experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, and identity issues. I also work with teens who have parents incarcerated or are being raised by someone other than their biological parents who are looking for support and guidance in managing their mental health.

I understand the importance of cultural competence, and I believe that it’s crucial for my clients to feel seen, heard, and understood. As a result, I work to build a therapeutic relationship that is non-judgmental, honest, and caring.

If you’re a mom, parent, or teen who is navigating difficult emotions, I’m your person. If you’re a person diagnosed with an ID/DD, I see you. If you’re a teen who has parents incarcerated or are being raised by someone other than their biological parents, I welcome and invite that into our work together. And if you’re a tween or teen who is navigating difficult emotions, I can help you navigate those days.

I know that reaching out to a therapist can be intimidating, but I’m here to guide you through the process. Please don’t hesitate to contact me using the ”book your session” feature, and let’s schedule a consultation to see if we are a good fit for each other. Remember, you are not alone!
