At Affinity Counseling Connections, PLLC, we understand the importance of providing affordable and accessible mental health care to our clients. To ensure that we can continue to provide high-quality care, we have established the following payment and fee expectations.

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept debit cards and major credit cards. We do not accept insurance, therefore would be considered out of network. If you have insurance, we will be happy to provide you with an invoice to submit a claim directly to your insurance, but it is important to understand that the cost of therapy is ultimately the responsibility of the client.

In the event of a late cancellation or no-show with LESS than 48-hours notice, clients will be assessed a $120 fee. This policy is in place to ensure that our therapists have sufficient time to fill the appointment slot and to compensate them for the missed opportunity to see another client.

The $120 fee also applies if a client forgets their appointment or if they need to cancel due to a scheduling conflict, such as a school exam. We understand that life can be unpredictable, but we ask that clients provide us with as much notice as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Late-Cancellations/ No Shows

An appointment time has been set aside specifically for you. If you need to reschedule your appointment time, please notify your clinician as soon as possible to minimize a longer wait time for your appointment. 

If you cancel your appointment LESS than 48-hours before the appointment time or do not show for the appointment, you will be assessed a $120 late-cancellation/ no show fee. 

A late-cancellation/ no show fee will be applied under, but not limited to:

  • “forgetting” you had an appointment scheduled
  • scheduling conflicts that require you cancel your appointment
  • major school exams (midterms or finals as these are most likely scheduled at the beginning of the semester)
  • state testing, or choosing to do something that is important to you rather than attending your counseling appointment.

Affinity Counseling Connections, PLLC will make every attempt to give you as much notice as possible if the clinician need to reschedule your appointment.


Please be advised phone/text/e-mail reminders are ONLY a courtesy. YOU are ultimately responsible for your appointment date and times. Missing an appointment because you did not receive a phone/text/e-mail reminder is not a valid excuse for missing the appointment and a no show/ late cancellation fee of $120 will be assessed. 

We understand Life Happens, and so do emergencies.  If you need to miss an appointment, please call/text/e-mail your clinician directly more than 48-hours before your appointment. Any cancellations made LESS than 48-hours before your appointment time will be assessed a late-cancellation/ no show fee. Affinity Counseling Connections, PLLC clients understand the cancellation fee is not a punishment, but necessary to ensure the clinician can provide consistency with their clients care.
